Our History

Founded, owned and operated by true Honduran natives and Islanders, Roatan Pontoon Paradise grew out of the love of the island’s pirate history. Since the 1500’s Roatan was home to pirates from across the world. Pirates from Spain, England and eventually from Holland all sought refuge in the vast maze of mangroves and shallow waters of the island. They sought protection from capture or worse, and on this island they discovered true beauty and a safe haven. We offer locals the chance to discover this history, and experience the rich biodiversity and history of Roatan!

Roatan Pontoon Paradise was founded in 2021 by Dorian Rosales and is now part of a network of sister companies that aim to provide travelers with outstanding experiences that showcase the best of Honduras and the Caribbean.
